Which is correct?

I feel like neither is 100% grammatically correct. Kindly tell me what is wrong with these sentences and provide me with a more natural and correct alternative.


It is a great honor to have them here, as it doesn't happen frequently for such important people to attend this conference.

anonymous I feel like neither is 100% grammatically correct. I feel that way, too, although I would not be surprised to hear either one in unscripted speech. " Phrases in "for" and "to have" do not do that very well.
