Which Is Correct?

"According to a new study, shorebirds are not the most primitive birds, which refuses the widely-held view that they gave rise to all modern birds."

A- A widely-believed idea that all living birds evolved from shorebirds has been verified by a new study into the world's oldest birds

B- A new study validates the widespread opinion that all modern birds descended from shorebirds, although they may not be the world's oldest birds
