Which is correct?

Which is correct?

1. The more she'll get hurt, the more indifferent person she'll become.

2. The more she'll get hurt, the more indifferent of a person she'll become.

So, the difference is whether we can insert "of a" in front of "person." Is it grammatically correct to say "the more indifferent of a person?"

I thought #1 is correct, but then some of my friends said that #2 sounds more natural. Any opinion?

Neither. These are correct English:

1. The more she gets hurt, the more indifferent a person she'll become.
2. The more she gets hurt, the more indifferent she'll become.

However, the meaning seems odd. It is hard to see how someone could become more indifferent as a result of being hurt.
