Which is correct?

I know the following sentences are correct.
"Father's Day is a special occasion."
"Mother's Day is a special occasion."

However, if I want to combine both "Father's Day" and "Mother's Day" in one sentence, what sentenct should be correct?
1) Father's and Mother's Days are special occasions.
2) Father's and Mother's Day is a special occasion.
Or, either one above is incorrect?

Thanks.
