But what do these sentences mean? eg Treat people in what way?

Grammatically, the second is correct.

As for the first one, minor changes could make it correct.

You could say "You should treat more people; you will have more fans."

or "If you treat more people, you will have more fans."

However, unless this "treating" people to get "fans" is lingo particular to a social network or something, it doesn't make sense to me. I wo

It could mean medically. I imagine that people are usually fond of their (competent) doctors.
