Do you mean that all the sentences are grammatically correct but have the different meaning?
I have to choose one of them.
coz I need it when I explain about the writer of "Pride and Prejudice".
I think I have to choose number 3 or 4..but I'm not sure yet.

I disgaree with Sameer. The book was written - it was written 200 years ago. Her name was Jane Austen - but she's dead now. Number 5 or 6 are correct - but actually I would say "Pride and Prejudice was written by Jane Austen, an/the English novelist".

Hey Kate, thanks for your inputs. I totally agree with your justification. But, I feel its all about one's perception. Don't you think it is context sensitive as well? [Considering all styles of English]..

And Darcy, I'd recommed you to use it as Kate said "Pride and Prejudice was written by Jane Austen, an/the English novelist". This sounds better...
