which is better sentence? "He isn't free on Sunday, he will work" or" He isn't free on Sunday, he is working"

Hi .

I can't understand this problem.
e.g "He isn't free on Sunday, he will work" or" He isn't free on Sunday, he is working"

I think the former is more better. but my text book said the latter. why?

Both are correct. The continuous present (is working) can be used to refer to future action. This is particularly common when the verb indicates movement: He is coming tomorrow.
