Which is better?

I asked something to my client on Thursday and still haven't received the answer. So I'm writing again to ask him to reply by Monday. I want to be polite, but not too polite. I also want to sound friendly (not angry).

"I sent you the following message on Thursday and still haven't heard from you. I would appreciate it if you could reply by Monday"

or

"I sent you the following message on Thursday and still haven't heard from you. I would appreciate your reply by Monday"

Which is better? Or if there is a better way to say it, I would like to know.

Actually it is a very very easy question about the meeting on Monday and I gave him more than 36 hours. Asking a question about the meeting on Monday on Thursday seems reasonable, don't you think? But I agree that he might have been busy and that's the reason I don't want to sound angry. He is probably just forgetting to answer. So I have to remind him. I j
