Seated there at the desk, I commanded a view of far wall, on which, among other things, hung an antique cavalry saber, which I had overlooked the first time around the room. <Nine Princes in Amber" of The Great Book of Amber by Roger Zelazny> I think "around the room" modifies "the first time." So I'd like to know "being" is implied before "around." Thank you in advance for your help.
