Which "however" is right and why ?

Hello everyone
as we know "however" can placed everywhere in sentence but in following sentences just one sentences has been accepted and it is :

1) He told me,however, the teacher he was ill and could not attend

2)However,he told the teacher that he was ill and could not attend

why sentence number 2 has accepted according my knowledge "however" can be placed everywhere in sentence and we conclude both of two sentences should be Right not just sentences number 2

19216801 1) He told me ,however, the teacher he was ill and could not attend This makes no sense. Did he tell you or the teacher? You can't have both.

  • 19216801 1) He told me ,however, the teacher he was ill and could not attend This makes no sense.
  • Did he tell you or the teacher?
  • You can't have both.
  • You can't put adverbs like however between a verb and its object, so you can't have told, however, the teacher .

I just have written this in our class ,when our teacher written this instance i thought we can choose both of them but he selected instance number 2
we conclude "however" can't placed everywhere in sentence and it just placed everywhere in sentence which we knew about it ?

I am not able to understand your question very well, but I think I answered already that you can't place "however" anywhere you want in a sentence, if that's what you're asking. It usually comes at the beginning of the sentence.
