Which functions do you omit, or avoid teaching, in your classes?
These are some of the main functional areas found in EFL teaching books:
• Giving Advice
• Agreeing/Disagreeing
• Making Apologies
• Making Complaints
• Describing People
• Describing Objects
• Describing Pictures
• Describing Places etc.

Regularly missing are functions such as "offering insults". Why is this so? Are there certain functions that you avoid teaching or that you omit from the curriculum. If so, why do you do so?
