Which expression is more commonly heard in the US?

"to see is to believe"
or
"seeing is believing"

But, anyhow, you've heard of "to see is to believe"?...because i'm starting to think it's another Filipino English terminology. When i googled "to see is to believe" i got redirected to a lot of Filipino websites.
I know infinitives, just like gerunds, could also function as nouns. so there's nothing grammatically erroneous about "to see is to believe". I was just worried that it may be anoth

No. The grammar is fine. It seems to me, however, just as a matter of what is idiomatic, that the gerund is much more used than the infinitive as a subject of a sentence. Like Mr Wordy, I am much more familiar with "Seeing is believing".

I didn't see the "in the US" either, but I doubt there's any difference between BrE and AmE with regard to this preference.

CJ and I are American speakers, and I agree with both CJ and Mr. W - the gerund is far more common.
