"Can you tell me which day Christmas is on?"
2) Do you tell me which day Christmas is?
Grammatical, but weird.
"Can you tell me which day Christmas falls on?"
3) Do you tell me which day is Christmas?
Grammatical, but weird.
"Can you tell me which day is Christmas?"
Ask someone this while pointing to a calendar.
They will point to the square on the calendar where Christmas is.
4) Which day is Christmas on?
OK
5) Which day is Christmas?
Not quite right, but possible. It's like 3).
6) When is Christmas?
OK
7) When is Christmas on?
NO
8) Is this seat taken? (Looking at a seat)
OK
9) Is anybody sitting here? (Looking at a seat)
OK
10) Will you save a seat for me?
Grammatical, but not as likely as "Can you save a seat for me?"
11) Will you keep a seat for me?
NO
