Which are correct?

"Scientists have offered different explanations for the function of eyelashes, including protecting the eye by catching dust and acting as sensors to trigger blinking, which helps protect eyes and keep them lubricated. Then two years ago, a team of researchers decided to further investigate eyelashes. After measuring the eyelashes of a variety of mammals' eyelashes are one-third the width of their eyes, which is the ideal length to minimize airflow over the eyeball. Less air flowing across the eye keeps evaporation at bay and stops dust from being deposited in the eye. In their experiments, the team found that thicker eyelashes are more effective at limiting both airflow and exposure to light. The team also found that the longer eyelashes were, the more protection they provided. But it is not the case for fake eyelashes. Once the length of these eyelashes hit the optimum length of 1/3 the width of the eye, evaporation and the deposition of dust started to rise."

1- The research mentioned in the passage has revealed that..................

A- the ideal length for eyelashes is one-third of the eye width

B- the length of a mammal's eyelashes depends on its size

C- eyelashes that exceed 1/3 of the animal's eye width will reduce evaporation in the eye

D- mammals of varying sizes all have the same eye dimensions

E- eyelashes help more air to flow into the eyes

I said C, I'm not sure.

2- It is clear that the purpose of the study in the passage was to discover some facts about the..................

A- harmful effects of airflow into the eyes

B- protection of the eyes from dust particles

C- functions of eyelashes

D- reasons why different mammals have different eye sizes
