Which Animal

Hi
Can you give a look at this sentence: "WHICH animal cries after eating THEIR preys?"
This is a riddle, so my questions are: 1) is "which" correct, considering I'm not including a choice between two or more options (ex.: "the crocodile, the lion or the vulture")? Would "what" be more correct? 2) is it ok to use "their" or would it be more appropriate to use "its"?
Thank you

" "Preys" has to be "prey" in any event. "Which animal" is not wrong—it means "which one of the animals in the world"—but "what" is plainer and doesn't call attention to itself.

I think it would better as, "What animal cries after eating its prey?" "Preys" has to be "prey" in any event. "Which animal" is not wrong—it means "which one of the animals in the world"—but "what" is plainer and doesn't call attention to itself.
