Which alternative would you choose in these 5 sentences please?

Could you tell me if these sentences work grammatically? and which you would choose?

1 The printer prints out the pages before the computer is done with the process/prints out the pages faster than the computer is done with the process.

2 It'll have finished printing by the time...../it'll be done printing by the time...

3 The book gets better as you read it/as you go.

4 I was stressed to talk to them. They intimidated me.

I was stressed at the thought/idea of meeting them.

5 I recognized the girl that stood/was stading in front of me.

All of these sentences are grammatically correct except the last one. It would go like this: I recognized the girl who stood/was standing in front of me. Grammatically, all the sentences are correct but what matters is the meaning of them.
