Skunks don't seem to be a thing around here. I've never seen one. My mother-in-law has possums that come up on the porch and eat the cat food. I keep telling her they're giant rats and she should shoot them, but she won't.

It happens here too. Raccoons, opossums and more. My dog found a 'possum underneath the deck a few days ago. He had a fit of hysteria.
Coyotes have been sighted (by some neighbors), and a grey cottontail. Of course the squirrels have taken over.
