Whether or not someone achieves their aims is mostly by a question of luck. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Many people nowadays believe that they have to be lucky to achieve their goals. Personally, I don’t agree to this idea at all.

The first reason why I disagree is that success just come when people work hard. They have to devote their time to prepare for their aims seriously no matter how hard they are. Also, they need to pay attention and focus their goals at all time in order to keep track of the progress and then decide what to do next. As an example, Steve Jobs whose work to make Apple a huge success. To achieve his goal, he had to put a lot of effort to learn and do many researchs. Although he did not succeed at the first time, he still persisted on his goals and finally, his dream came true. Apple had become one of the world’s most successful brands of mobile phones. Another example for the reason is Nick Vujicic. Despite his disabilities, he managed to study hard to gain degrees. After that, he travels all around the world to inspire others that if you work hard, you will be successful in the future.

The second reason for my viewpoint is that luck is not the key element for success. At school, students who do not study for their exams, just hope to be lucky will probably fail. It is clear that because they do not take the exams seriously, they cannot understand the knowledge. This fact results in bad scores for them. In reality, people may be lucky occasionally, but if they rely on luck throughout their lives, they will almost certainly disappointed. For example, people can successfully sign the contract without much effort but the next time, they will probably fail.

In conclusion, success cannot be achieved just by luck. People have to work hard and get away from that thought to make their dreams come true.
