whether it makes difference on the arrival time ...

I am going to send mail by Xpresspost, an express mailing service in Canada. I want to make sure whether it makes difference on the arrival time between leaving it in the morning and leaving it in the afternoon of the same day (hopefully you understand what the hell I am talking about here Emotion: smile). So can you tell me a concise and normal way to ask this question? Thanks a lot.

How about "Does the time of drop-off affect the time and date of delivery?"

Hi Khoff,

Thanks for your input. Based on it, I prefer this: Does the time of drop-off on the same day affect the time and date of delivery?

According to what I want to ask originally, do you think adding "on the same day" as above is necessary?

I think "on the same day" confuses things -- it sounds as thought you want the thing delivered on the same day that you send it. How about "Does it matter what time of day it's sent/mailed/dropped off? Does that affect the time and day of delivery?"

Will the package arrive (any) sooner if I drop it off this morning rather than this afternoon?
