Wherever?

Would you be so king to tell me which is the usual phrase that many people, who are Christian or believe in God, usually say (using the word “wherever” I think) when a person has died, “Wherever he should be he will always be among us”?
And thanks,
Eladio

Of Christ: 'Wherever and whenever we choose to gather together, He will always be among us.'

Of individuals who have passed on, there is no particular sentence that I am aware of.

If I want to express that I do not know where the soul of a dear recently deceased parent is, and I want to use the word "wherever" in the sense of wherever it is, how to say that in the most polite way? I believe many times I have listened that sentence in several movies, when people are gathered around the coffin in the cemetery. Was my first sentence correct:
"Wherever (he/she) should be.

A Christian at the cemetery would think (publicly) that the dearly departed was of course in Heaven, so 'wherever s/he may be' would be rude and agnostic. I do not recommend it.
