"Where you going" or "Where are you going" ?

Hi,

I caught this on an English learning radio program.
Is "Where you going" right?
I know there could lazy English in this case in AE, but just not very sure about that.

Also in everyday talk, which one is used more often ?

Thanks,
James

Do you really believe that lazy people can be found nowhere else but in America? And are you sure you heard it correctly?

It depends who you're talking to and the level of formality they are accustomed

This is also seen in rap songs and other forms of art where the writer tries to rhyme the song or poem using made up words or arbitarily choosing different words that would not even make sense in those cases.
