Where Would I Stand

Hello everyone. I have a couple of questions.

Regarding the following sequence of two sentences:

I'm the one who's been always causing trouble for you. If you're sorry about it, where would I stand?

This is a line I heard in a movie. I didn't know the expression "where would I stand" in it. Is it a natural daily expression to mean "I won't know what to do"? Besides, is my dictation correct in the first place?
