Where to start in oder to improve grammar?

I'm an adult and I need to improve my grammar for work. However, I don't know where to start. I'd like to learn from home on my own but don't know where to start.

I need to review everything starting way back with the parts of speech. So what would help me is an outline of what I should learn first and in what order. I guess I am looking for something like a course outline, so I know what to learn and in what order. Like you would learn Chem 101 before Chem 201 because 201 would not make any sense until Chem 101 was learned.

I hope I make sense and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just pick up a good general grammar book like Michael Swan's Practical English Usage or Geoffrey Leech's An A-Z of English Grammar and Usage and read through them page by page or skim through them for what interests you. For an adult, that is the best way to pursue the topic.
