Where to pause?

One important factor to speak fluent english is to put the right and appropriate pause during our speech.
I would like to know if there any rules regarding to where to put pause during our speech.
Thanks.

Hi, no, you have to imitate native speakers. Spoken English is very complicated to describe... There are a few rules that are useful to remember, but so many exceptions and variations that describing spoken English accurately is practically impossible.

  • Listening to English a lot is the only way to pick up speech patterns, intonation, stress, etc.
  • That's my opinion.
