where to learn Oxfordshire accent?

Hi everyone. So my problem is this:
When I was young, we used to live in Yorkshire, and I first learned English while living there. We all left the UK shortly afterwards, but I got stuck with an accent. Nowdays, I still speak with somekind of an accent, but not fluently and clear enough. I wish to improve that situation. From what I understand, my accent is called Oxfordshire accent. I am desperate to find a free/payed source from which I can learn to speak well again in my original accent. Does anyone has any idea????

I wouldn't waste my time and especially money on trying to change my accent. We are accustomed to hearing many different accents every day — on TV, at the cinema, in the corner shop, in many takeaways and restaurants etc. They all contribute to the rich tapestry of life.

  • Your accent defines who you are – don't be ashamed of it.
  • Those who try too hard to change their natural accent always run the risk of sounding pretentious and/or ridiculous.

Hi Rover.
Thanks for the sweet reply, but I think you didn't quite understand my problem.
I still have an accent. I feel very comfortable talking with an accent rather then trying to talk without it.
My issue is that because I don't speak much English in my everyday life, when I do speak, I tend to stumble upon compliceted words in this collision between my accent and the way I know th

How did you end up with an Oxfordshire accent if you lived in Yorkshire and then left the UK? Yorkshire and Oxfordshire accents are very different.
Many English words are not pronounced as they are spelled. If you are unsure about how a word is pronounced you can find audio guides in many online dictionaries, such as htt
