Where should I use "that"

Hi, can you please look at the following sentences, and tell me where the word "that" is more applicable.

1) Look, I understand you are not happy that I do not want to help you riht now, but I am busy.

2) Look, I understand that you are not happy that I do not want to help you right now, but I am busy.

3) Look, I understamd that you are not happy I do not want to help you right now. but I am busy.

  • 'that' is optional in all the cases.
  • I'd keep it after 'understand' for more clarity.
