Where possible - shorten the following sentences!

1 - People who work in large cities often long to escape from "the rat race"

People,working in large cities often long to escape from "the rat race" In bold is the model that I think is correct

2. Most houses which were built more than a hundred years ago have problems with damp.We can omit "which"

3.The tram starts from the castle,which is the oldest surviving building in the town. This sentence is impossible to be shorten

4.The house which I lived in as a child has just been knocked down. We can omit "which"

5.The city council,which is well known for its radical ideas,recently developed this dock area.We can omit "which is"

6.Visitors who are caught taking photographs inside the church are usually asked to leave. We can omit "who are"

7. The mosaic was dicovered by workmen who were digging in the street. This sentence is impossible to be shorten

8.The square is surrounded by old buildings,which are now on the verge of collapse.This sentence is impossible to be shorten. 9.The river which flows through the town centre is liable to flood in winter.We can omit "which"

10.The man who I have been talking to used to live in this neighbourhood.This sentence is impossible to be shorten
