where is the predicate

Hi, I just want to know where is the predicate in this sentence,

As if this were the start of a dangerous adventure, the small boy puts his hand in the bigger boy's, and they follow a third boy through the square,
thanks

There are two independent clauses, and therefore two predicates. (1) puts his hand in the bigger boy's (2) follow a third boy through the square
