It is usually better to use "who" instead of "that" for people. "That" is never wrong, but it is sometimes odd, as in this case.

There is no error, except that "that" is so unusual there that any editor would change it to "who" just for the sake of smoothness.

Edit: I'm an idiot. "Her" should be "their".
