Where did you last keep it? OR Where did you keep it last?

Hi

When someone has misplaced an item, and I'm trying to help them search for it, do I ask -

Where did you last keep it? OR

Where did you keep it last?

Please help.

Thank you.

Where did you last put it? OR

Where did you put it last?

I would use the second one, but the first one is not wrong.

(Use 'put', not 'keep'.)

But:

Where do you usually keep it?

These are strange choices. People in the UK usually use see instead. Another possibility would be to ask where it was last.
