Where

Hello,
Alliteration is a literary device where words are used in quick succession and begin with letters belonging to the same sound group.

Does 'where' sound good here?

Can we use 'in which' in place of 'where' in the above sentence?

Thanks.

I am a little bit confused about the usage of 'where' in the above, we generally use 'where' in relative clauses for a place.

Could you please elaborate it?

Thanks.

Yes, it can be confusing because now and then we use 'where' when it has nothing to do with a literal place. In the case at hand 'where' is acceptable ev
