Hi

This is from a grammar lesson website:
Ryan climbed up to Look Out Point where he can see all the way to ocean.

I don't understand why these are wrong:
... where one can see all the way to ocean.
... where he could see all the way to ocean.

  • Well, they are both as wrong as the original in that 'ocean' should be ' the ocean', there should be a comma after 'Point', and 'Look Out' is normally spelt 'Lookout'.
  • Otherwise, they are both possible corrections to the original; the second is the expected correction.

Well, they are both as wrong as the original in that 'ocean' should be 'the ocean', there should be a comma after 'Point', and 'Look Out' is normally spelt 'Lookout'.
