when,whenever,how,however

Dear

"I always make a lot of mistakes whenever/when I make a composition.

However/how difficult it may be, get up the courage and do it."

the correct answers above are "whenever and however " with my book.
But can I also change to "when and how" instead of them?

Thanks in advance.
