Can I use "when" in the example below?

We could meet if(when) I came to London.

Hi We can meet if I come to London - the meeting depends on whether or not I come to London. We can meet when I come to London - I am definitely coming to London at some point and when I do we can meet.

It's possible, yes, and grammatical.

The past tense "came" could suggest either a) greater tentativeness about making the suggestion or b) greater tentativeness about making the trip.
