Is there any difference between the use of "whenever" and "when ever"?

Can you give an example of "when ever" in a sentence. I can't seem to think of a time when that one is even used.

When, ever, will you finish your project. = At which point in time will you finish, it looks as if it is never going to end.
Whenever you finish your project let me know. = It is not important to me when you finish, it is just important for me to know that you have finished.
