when your writing as a fourth person

do you write in past or present tense. Im reading alexander the great by Nikos Kzantzakis and here are a few samples of the questions :

Answer the questions based on their tense.

When we write about literature or films, we write in the present tense (an exception would be if we are including some kind of chronology.)

im still confused but thanks... so youre saying i should write it based on the questions tense? so if the questions is in present i ans in present or past?

As Vorpar says, answer in the present tense.

NB: it's usually Bucephalus ("bull-headed").
