"When you are back to / in the office"

Hi teachers,

"Please call Mr. Yuen when you are back to / in the office."

So often I have heard this phrase, but which preposition is correct in use? Thank you.

Greetings, Tinanam, it is better to distinguish to in an example like On my way back to the office, I twisted my ankle, where destination to a certain point is implied by the preposition, and Back in the office, things were as usual, in which the position in a place is expressed by in. Therefore, it is preferably better to say Please call Mr Yuen when you come back to the office vs Please call Mr Yuen when you are back in the office. Respectfully, Gleb Chebrikoff

Dear Gleb Chebrikoff, Dokterjokkebrok,

Thank you for all of your help. I have some idea now.

I'm sorry my understanding is just poor. I'd need clarification on the "article, the". Please call Mr. Yuen when you are back in (the) office. The explanations of both seem the same in my understanding.
