I have difficulty using the following phrases properly. Help.

To me, only the second one is correct. "A" can't be placed before "such", and "thing" is a countable noun so requires an article. "

To me, only the second one is correct. "A" can't be placed before "such", and "thing" is a countable noun so requires an article.

For instance, "I would never do such a thing!"
