When / while / because it is raining

Can I say,

(a) Aunty Susan used the umbrella while it was raining.

(b) She is taking the umbrella because it is raining outside.

(c) She uses an umbrella when it is raining.

(d) She is using the umbrella during raining.

(e) She is opening the umbrella when it is raining.

(f) She opened the umbrella when it was raining.

(g) She is carrying the umbrella because it is raining now.

(h) She is taking the umbrella while it is raining.

Are they same in meaning?

taking an umbrella = holding the umbrella while raining?

These sentences have some problem with tense agreement and the tones and logic don’t sound right.



While she went out shopping, it started to rain.- ok. She went out first then it started to rain.

While it was raining, she went out shopping - Not the same meaning . Rain came before she went out

in general: we say WHILE if two actions are happening at the same time like : I eat while I wach TV.
and we use WHEN if if the second action doesn't begun until the first happens like: I run when the dog came.

try not to think about confusing exa,okmples like the rain and the the umbrella because it will be so difficult for u, try to use the rule in general terms
