When we crush paper/cloth, it will become

When we crush paper, it will become ................... Similarly, when we crush cloth, it will become .................... . We may iron out cloth to make it smooth/.... again, but paper cannot be done so.

Please correct my sentences and suggest me the words that are appropriate in the blanks. Thank you
