When to use ('s) and (of) and the difference between them ?

Hi ,
I have been wondering since a few years about this question and never once thought to ask it out ..
My question is , as following :

what is the difference between (This is Abdullah's book ) and (This is the book of Abdullah)

is there a difference , if so , when to use it
