When to use "You and I"?

Hi,

I'm still confused as to when to use "You and I"? In other scenarios, I hear people and people on TV use "me and John"...

Your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Lee8u,
welcome to EnglishForward.
I don't really undertand your question, some specific examples would have been useful...

That subject is kind of complicated though... Let's say you should use "you and I" when it's the subject:
You and I are the same age.
...if it's not the subject, then you should use "you and me" or "me and you":
He sent a letter to yo
