What are the rules for using "will" or "shall". Are they one and the same. Please help?!

I suggest you use the search feature and type in "shall." You'll get a lot of threads, like this one ( ), which should answer most of your questions.

I think the word 'shall' is old fashioned today.
I will go to the gym tomorrow around 17.00pm.
I shall go to the gym tomorrow around 17.00pm. [ I will not say this.]
