Could someone please inform me about the commas in this sentence.
Most of Sam's life is joyous, with frequent trips to the zoo, or disappointing, with constant fighting within family.
I realise its a strange sentence. Its referring to someone from the past so I'm using the present continuous. Would very much appreciate help with the commas. I think the 1st one and last one are okay. But I'm unsure about the one that comes before "or".
Thank you!

This seems fine to me. The commas before and after the enclosed phrases correctly make them parenthetical.
You could write it this way as well, but your versionis OK..
