When the author and editor are the same

What is the correct bibliographic/works cited format for authors who have chapters in books where they are also the editor of that same book? Here's an example:

John Smith writes a chapter as one of the contributing authors to a book, but he is also the editor of the book. How is the properly cited in MLA Style?
