I'd like to know how should I say:
"We bought some food and made coffee for these people and brought it to them at night."
or
"We bought some food and made coffee for these people and brought them to them at night."
That last one sounds a bit strange to me because it repeats "them", though. I would also like to see any suggestions for changes to the phrase. Thank you!
Even though food and coffee are two different things, I'm inclined to think of them as combined into the idea of a single contribution you brought to them. I would use it to them even though them to them is also correct. CJ
