'When' or 'where' for a point of time?

I am pretty sure 5 seconds has passed from the point when you typed '5 seconds until time out!'.

I am pretty sure 5 seconds has passed from the point where you typed '5 seconds until time out!'.

What modifications could be done to the correct sentence to make it more...'correct'?
