Grammar

When my first sentence is using past tense, can the following sentence use present?

I am pretty confused with grammar structure, so can you please correct the following.

I went to Macao and it was nice place to stay. Macau (is) definitely the place for you to spend all of your money.

and the last question would be for e.g. after I said something and few moments later I wanted to correct it, which one that I should use,

I mean or I meant?

thanks in advance! =D
