When I will have more experience

Hello,

In one of my motivation letter, I wrote:

« Later on, when I will have more experience as a Salesperson, I plan on gaining responsibilities... »

Should it be « when I have move experience »

I am trying to figure out if my sentence is correct or not, can you help me ?

If my sentence in incorrect, how bad does it look when you read it ?

thanks in advance !

MichXD14 Should it be « when I have move experience » Yes, but there is a typo, of course. MichXD14 If my sentence in incorrect, how bad does it look when you read it ? It is obviously written by a non-native speaker because of the verb.

  • Another thing, "I plan on gaining responsibilities" would be better as "I hope to take on more responsibility".

Yes. We don't combine the subordinators if or when with will or would. So you don't want clauses like the following:

when I will have problems Wrong.
if he would be late Wrong.
