When I was at the hospital/during my stay

1) The attacks when I was at the hospital were mild.
2) The attacks during my stay at the hospital were mild.

I think these sentences mean: The attacks that occured when I was at the hospital/during my stay at the hospital were mild.

Am I correct?

3) The attacks, when I was at the hospital, were mild.
4) The attacks, during my stay at the hospital, were mild.

I think 3 and 4 (which are not particularly elegant) mean:
The attacks were mild when I was at the hospital.

Am I correct?

Gratefully,
Navi.
